She is a highly accomplished professional with more than 20 years of progressive experience in Islamic Finance. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Professionally, she had been awarded with the Bronze Award from the Kirkpatrick Certified Professionals, USA in 2014 and is also an affiliate member of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM).
In the early years of her career, she has served various departments in the Islamic banking industry. Her main role was in the area of marketing and product development. This include conducting product performance reviews, product manual, product policy, product parameters, product penetration effectiveness, develop competitive positioning strategies and the evaluation of product development life cycle. She was also actively involved in the working group of two banks in becoming a full-fledged Islamic bank.
She later contributed in developing the human talent in Islamic Finance, locally and abroad. Among others, her role was to spearheaded the promotional and marketing activities of the Islamic Finance qualifications where she had successfully developed and maintained a solid network of global contacts with partners from Asia, the Middle East and Africa. She also lead and Initiated all International Capacity Building in Training & Islamic Finance (Inbound & Outbound), namely in Luxembourg, Japan, Nigeria, Uganda, the Republic of Ghana, Kenya, London and Brunei Darussalam.
Zanariah is also a trainer in niche areas in Islamic banking due to her passion in learning & disseminating knowledge.
Currently her role is to lead the strategic and operational initiatives with the firm.
